Diet Limitations
This is a list of some of the diet limitations my
nutritionist gave me. The ones with the checkmarks are
for me personally. They applied specifically to cancer
treatment.

CHOCOLATE: Carob tastes similar to
chocolate and does not contain caffeine. Read
labels, however, because some carob is sweetened with
sugar. |

PEANUTS AND PEANUT BUTTER: Use any
other nuts, seeds or nut butters. Almond butter is
especially good. |

ARTIFICIAL SWEETENERS: NutraSweet,
Aspartame, Equal, SugarTwin, Saccharin, etc. Use
acceptable sweeteners instead. |

CAFFEINE: Swiss water-processed
decaffeinated should be the only coffee consumed but can
be difficult to locate. It is best to consume no
caffeine. Use herb teas or grain-based coffee
substitutes such as Roma and Cafix. |

CITRUS FRUITS: No oranges,
grapefrut, tangerines, lemons, etc. Use a variety
of other fruits such as apples, melons, grapes, berries,
peaches, pears or any of your favorites. |

MSG: No monosodium glutamate which
is mostly found in packaged foods and Chinese foods, so
be careful when eating out. |

FRIED FOODS AND HYDROGENATED OILS:
READ LABELS, this includes margarine. |

CHLORINATED AND WELL WATER: Use
distilled or purified water only. |
| Limit |
ALCOHOL: No alcoholic drinks of any
kind. Suggested alternatives to be used
occasionally are: Club soda plain or with lime or lemon,
1/2 club soda and 1/2 fruit juice. READ LABELS,
soft drinks labeled unsweetened often contain fructose. |
